According to an article published by Network Center of MOFCOM, China has been able to surpass Germany as the second largest auto parts exporter to the US for the first quarter of 2007.
China has exported US$1.936 billion of auto components to the US which is more than that of Germany’s US$1.934 billion for the same period posting an increase of over 27 percent still for the same period last year.
For the first three months of this year, China has been able to export US$6.123 billion auto parts worldwide, which is an increase of 32.4 percent covering the same period last year.
According to Ms. Hoi-ho Kiu, Chairman and CEO of Score One, Inc. "China is moving up from basic goods like textiles, toys and shoes towards higher-value industrial goods that pay better wages and achieve higher operating margins. We believe we are in an ideal position to capture the rewards from this higher-value movement. Our country, China, is strongest in electrical and electronic components and in cast metal parts that require lots of manual labor of machining."

In a J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study(SM) (MWES) – Wave 2 released in July 10, HUMMER.com garners the highest index score of 870 points on a 1,000-point scale among automotive manufacturer Web sites for usefulness in new-vehicle shopping in terms of appearance, speed, navigation, and information/content.
The 2007 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study -- Wave 2 is based on evaluations which were collected between April and May 2007 from 10,865 new-vehicle shoppers who indicated that they would be in the market for a new vehicle within the next 24 months.
Steve Witten, executive director of marketing/media research at J.D. Power and Associates, said that a continuing concentration on clear, simple navigation and crisp images and videos that demonstrate both the appearance of HUMMER's models, as well as the features included in them, allows HUMMER to gain back the highest ranking for usefulness among automotive manufacturer Web sites. He added that this is the third time that HUMMER has achieved the difficult accomplishment of outpacing the industry since the brand was first included in the study in 2002.
